Deliveroo Launches On-Demand Retail Shopping in Ireland

Deliveroo is expanding beyond food delivery to offer on-demand shopping for a variety of retail products across Ireland. Starting today, the new service is available in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway.

Building on its success in the UK, where retail delivery was introduced in 2023, Deliveroo now offers Irish customers access to products ranging from beauty and pet care to floristry, tech, DIY, and gifts.

Initial retail partners include The Perfume Shop, Accessorize, and over 20 local small and medium-sized businesses. The company plans to rapidly grow the offering, adding more retailers and expanding to new locations nationwide.

“This is a significant step in our mission to bring the local community to your doorstep,” said Deliveroo Ireland's regional director. “It’s not just about convenience — we’re creating new opportunities for Irish retailers.”

Helen Maher, Regional Director of Deliveroo Ireland, highlighted the benefit for physical stores, saying the platform acts as a “digital extension to the traditional storefront,” generating additional revenue for retailers.

Retailers have welcomed the move. Gill Smith, Managing Director of The Perfume Shop, said their UK partnership with Deliveroo had been "hugely successful" and that expanding into Ireland would offer greater speed and reach to customers.

Accessorize’s Head of Marketing, Madeleine McCleod, said the launch allows customers to shop their products with delivery "in under 25 minutes."

This latest move follows Deliveroo’s previous expansion into grocery delivery in Ireland with partners such as Tesco Whoosh, M&S Ireland, and SPAR.

Customers can access the new retail service via the Deliveroo app under the 'Shopping' category to browse and order from participating local retailers.
